Old temp Level 3: INTRO TO ANISE ODOR SCENT WORK
This session advances your dog’s scent discrimination skills taught in both of the previous levels. Dogs are taught to identify anise, a natural essential oil. We go back to the foundation work but using the scent as the target search objective and continuing to strengthen the foundation skills but will be adding vehicle searches, outside searches & in the ground searches, weather permitting.
PREREQUISITE: Completion of Levels 1 &2 or instructor approval

WHAT TO BRING
- 6 foot leash (non retractable) plus 10+ long line.
- A flat buckle, snap-on or martingale collar. Harnesses are ok. No pinch or choke chains!
- Yummy small, pea size soft food treats: roasted chicken, hot dogs, liverwurst, string cheese, sharp cheddar cheese
- Good closed toe walking shoes (no flip flops or sandals.)
REQUIREMENTS
Dogs do not need to know any obedience commands, but should be comfortable on-leash. Dogs must be able to handle being crated inside the building and/or inside a properly equipped vehicle (weather permitting). If keeping your dog in a vehicle is not possible due to the weather, the owner must be prepared and come equipped to crate the dog inside the building.
